How often do you come across a problem which doesnt have a solution (excluding division by zero)?
In fact observing and finding such a problem is the difficult part. We say 'right palce at the right time' when such a problem finds you.
So keep your eyes open all the time.

That's an interesting way of looking at it. I've experienced this on a much smaller scale in my day-to-day programming tasks. I often find myself in a state of "analysis paralysis" trying to find the perfect solution to a problem. It's liberating to find that none of your co-workers know how to solve a given problem either. Even your most naive solution is better than nothing.
